Jocelyn K. Glei recently linked to David Cain’s recent Raptitude post: The Hole Where All The Success Leaks Out.
Whether it’s a leaky boat, tire or hot air balloon, you ain’t gonna reach your destination the way or when you wanted to (if at all) unless you plug the leak!
What are some classic examples according to Cain?
- 🃏Poker: slow-playing every good hand; betting without remembering your position
- 💰Frugality: buying lunch instead of packing one; trying to “tighten the belt” without tracking the numbers
- 🧘 Meditation: trying to silence mental chatter; only meditating when you’re in a good mood
- 👩 💼 Office productivity: leaving email notifications on; switching tasks when you hit a hard part
Over time, these can be the difference between nailing it or failing it big time. Try to find your leak this week!
